Compare onsen towns and places to stay before you open each property’s own site. We checked every entry on 2026-10-28, mostly against the property’s official pages or the local tourism office. When a fact comes from somewhere else, the town page names that source. A filter counts Yes only when a source says so outright. Anything we couldn’t confirm reads Not published and never counts as Yes.

These places have a sourced Yes for a private bath in the room. Some offer it in every room, others only in some room types, so pick the room type with care.

FAQ
How to read this directory
What does Not published mean?
It means we couldn’t confirm that fact on an official page as of 2026-10-28. It doesn’t mean No, and the filters never count it as Yes.
How should families use the bath filters?
Tick a box when that feature is a must. The two bath boxes keep only places with a sourced Yes. The kid box keeps places that openly welcome children or publish child plans or activities. The tattoo box keeps places that openly allow tattoos in at least one bath, and for some that means private baths only.
Does a private bath in the room always use onsen water?
No. Nishimuraya Hotel Shogetsutei says the open-air baths in its rooms use regular heated water, not natural hot-spring water, under a Kinosaki Onsen regulation. Read the bath notes on the town page before you book a room for its bath.
Are room rates listed here?
No. We list only private-bath fees that an official page publishes, with the date we checked it. Confirm room plans, child rates and meals with the property before you book.
